ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS AND ENROLLMENT II- I New Membership

A. Club prospects shall hold a valid class M motorcycling license. The motorcycle must be in good operating condition and properly registered and insured according to the applicable State Motor Vehicle Department.

B. Group participation expected at rides, meetings and events when possible.

C. All club prospects must pledge to uphold the by -laws. When signed copy of these by-laws are received, new member shall receive a club membership card.

D. Such club colors are to be worn only when participating in club meetings, rides or other group events.


II-II Prospect Sign-Up A. Prior to sign up, prospect member must fill out application. The application should include the reason for wanting to join the club as well as a brief history of their motorcycling background (bikes ridden, years of riding, etc.)

B. At the time of sign up, club prospects will receive a copy of the by-laws. After having been given the opportunity to review the by-laws, they will be required to pay $15.00 annually. These dues are due at the beginning of each year (January 31 st ). Club prospects will also receive a copy of the group riding instructions for familiarization at this time.



ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP DUES III-I Membership Renewals A. Dues will be paid on a yearly basis. Members are to renew their annual membership by January 31st.



ARTICLE VI - MEMBERSHIP VIOLATIONS/TERMINATIONS A. Members who are found in violation of the by-laws are subject to termination.

B. Typical examples of membership violations are: 1) Non-Payment of dues.

2) Extremely rude, offensive or insulting behavior towards fellow members or others while involved in club activities or wearing club colors.

3) The initiation of a physical confrontation while being involved in club activities or wearing club colors.

4) Public drunkenness while being involved in club activities or wearing club colors.

5) Participation in a club ride while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

6) Desecration of the club colors.

7) Unsafe riding at club events

8) Loss of class M license, insurance or registration or invalid permit.


C. Membership violations are not limited to the above examples. In case of serious violations affecting the well being and safety of other club members or the reputation of the club as a whole.


ARTICLE VII - MEETINGS A. Eight regular meetings will be held per year. The date, time and location will be set at the yearly ride schedule meeting held by the Board.

B. Meetings are opened to full members and prospects only.

C. The board shall meet at least four times a year, to plan the upcoming ride schedule, picked out by other members, and discuss any other upcoming events and news.


ARTICLE VIII - EXPENDITURES A. Any funds in the treasury are membership money. Therefore, prudent judgment shall be used in the handling and disbursement of such funds.

B. The club bank account requires the signatures of the Treasurer, President and Vice President on the signature card.

C. All checks issued require the joint signatures of the Treasurer and President or Vice President.


ARTICLE IX- CLUB COLORS A. Only club members with full membership status in good standing are authorized to wear club colors.


ARTICLE X - CLUB RIDES X-I Rides A. At the meeting, all members will be given a ride suggestion sheet to complete and return for the upcoming ride schedule. The Board at the board meeting will schedule all club rides.

B. Members will fully comply with and strictly adhere to all riding instructions and safety procedures. Failure to do so constitutes a gross violation of the by-laws.

C. Prospects will receive written group riding guidelines at the time of sign up.

D. Prospects are to have a valid motorcycle license or permit and adequate and current insurance.

E. At every meeting, all new members and prospects will sign a waiver of liability. No member or prospect will be permitted to ride with the club unless this waiver is signed.

F. All riders will at all times obeys and abides by all motor vehicle laws. Member agrees to indemnify and save Pocono Motorcycling Sisters harmless from any and all losses, liabilities, damages, claims, demands, suits, etc. That may arise from any cause or reason whatsoever.


X- II Guest Invitations to Club Rides A. Any club member in good standing may invite other riders as guests to participate in one club ride per calendar year.

B. It is the inviting member's responsibility to provide such guest with proper riding instructions prior to ride participation, in accordance with the club group riding guidelines.

C. Inviting members must be aware that guests may not be familiar with safety, guests unfamiliar with group riding must be kept at the rear of the group with the inviting member where the safety of the rest of the club members is not jeopardized.

D. All guests will be required to sign a waiver of liability. No guest will be permitted to ride with the club unless this waiver is signed.



ARTICLE XI - AMENDMENTS TO BY-LAWS A. Any proposed amendment must be submitted in writing to the board.

B. The affirmative vote of the majority of all members in good standing shall be required to pass an amendment to these by-laws.

C. Unless otherwise specified in the motion or the amendment, the amendment shall become effective immediately upon its passage.


ARTICLE XII - ROAD CAPTAINS A. The board shall appoint Road Captains.

B. Any member who has completed one year of membership is eligible to be a Road Captain. All requests shall be submitted in writing to the board.


ARTICLE XIII - NEWSLETTER A. The publisher shall be in charge of making sure newsletter is ready bi-monthly, with the help of the board, the board shall approve all articles.

B. All submissions to be published in the newsletter shall be submitted to the editor, no later than the prior months meeting shall.
